Weekly Update - 3 Feb 2023

LeanerCloud GUI progress, Podcast news

Hello, and welcome to this week's update.

Without further ado, let's dive right in.

LeanerCloud GUI work

I spent most of the week continuing the work I did last week, and here's a little demo video that shows the progress I made and how the UI looks like so far:

I'd love to hear your feedback about it, and what kind of things you'd like to see in this tool besides what I mentioned in the demo.

(I'm contemplating adding support for managing AutoSpotting installations and updates, which is a little tedious at the moment, but let me know what you think).

Podcast News

Besides this work, I also got some news about my LeanerCloud podcast helping some of the companies I mentioned in previous episodes.

A couple of cloud cost management companies expressed interest in my podcast and already approached me for collaboration opportunities on marketing work or recording podcast episodes going forward and I'm looking forward to see where all that leads.

Apparently some of my listeners learned about them through my podcast and started using their products, which got their attention 😀.

That wasn't my intention (I was actually hoping it would result in some sales of my own products, which hasn't happened yet ) but I'm happy to hear that it helped them.

But for now I decided to put the podcast on hold for the next few weeks, since the next few episodes I had planned aren't related to anything that I'm doing and I think it's better to focus on my own tool development work and driving my own product sales instead of spending time recording episodes on unrelated tech.

But if you liked my content and want to help me stay more consistent with it, I'm now also opening up up again for no-strings-attached sponsorships on Patreon, just like in the old days of AutoSpotting Open Source.

That's it for now,

Have a nice weekend and see you in the next week's update.
